Aushiree & Robert

God planned the beginning of this love story long ago but enter circa 2018 when it began to be revealed through just an ordinary UPS delivery. Their paths crossed as two hopeless romantics were working and carrying on with their respective lives.  She was working the front desk of WD-40 Company and he was the UPS deliverer for the route. Over the course of a year or so they would exchange short pleasantries and small talk. Every so often disclosing more about their families, church, and daily life.

One day, Rob received a text from an unknown number.  “Hey it's Aushiree from WD40, I was wondering if you can swing by…we have some packages for pickup.”
Confused, he replied, “You don’t have a pickup account with us”.

“I have tacosssss” she says, and that's all she needed to say.
Needless to say, he came by to pick up packages and tacos.  That initial text lead to more ad-hoc pickups and yes, more food giving. Everyone who knows Aushiree knows she loves food!

Over time, still carrying on a friendly worklike relationship,  as Rob is leaving her building they start talking about relationships and he explains he's single, content and not really looking; perhaps even expressing that he was “done with relationships” and would be happy if he stayed single for the rest of his life.  Boy was he wrong, and she told him!

Words that he will never forget her saying, "Don’t give up on relationships, unicorns exist and they show up when you’re not looking for them”. Wow!  At that time he didn’t know what she was really saying but of course, God knew.

Over the preceding weeks, more flirting ensued as Aush would hint toward going hiking together but it would just go over Rob's head.  He wasn't getting it.. she was interested. Rob, not wanting to fracture professionalism, prayed for a sign. Finally, Aush took a more direct approach. “There’s this band I like & they’re gonna be playing this Friday. Some friends and I are thinking of going, would you like to come?”  He accepted but it turns out there were no friends..it was just them, alone, on a date.  Their first date October 13, 2019.
    

 From that day on, they never looked back. In fact, three weeks later she was on a plane with him to Chicago where they crashed a wedding. Memory-making began, off and running.  On Feb 8, 2020, Aush declared to Rob that “You are my boyfriend now” and he didn't protest.

They've made wonderful memories thus far traveling to Napa, Yosemite, Palm Springs, New York, Orlando, Tampa, St. Augustine, The Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Phoenix, Reno, and Lake Tahoe.  

Grounded in their faith knowing that God has put them together on this journey to love and cherish each other and serve Him; they're truly blessed to receive this opportunity at agape love. They have grown through challenges and accomplished much already.  Last year they purchased a home in Tampa, Fl where one day they will reside. They enjoy spending time with friends and family, church together, traveling, musicals, plays, hiking, and going to concerts. One day she will teach him how to dance, lol.

On Christmas Day 2021 Rob proposed in front of their family & Santa. In Aush, Rob has found his forever unicorn, who still wins him over with food!  He loves her incredibly bubbly and positive personality, beauty, confidence, and being able to always have the right words to encourage, comfort and guide. In Rob, Aush sees him as her Boaz. His profound love for her and Silas is beyond what she imagined love could be. Rob has a great sense of humor and is nurturing but most of all Aush loves knowing that behind his big dimples and soft heart, she feels protected and led by a God-fearing man. 

He is her Bo-Bo and she is his Moon.

Rob is elated Aush said yes and Aush is looking forward to becoming a Varela - 11/22/22 will be a great celebration of unity that all began with tacos!
